Blind Faith

about

A song written during the first gulf war. This is about an old friend whose patriotic views bordered on fanatical. During the gulf war, the slogan "we support our troops" was prominent everywhere I turn. It seemed everyone was blind )or turned a blind eye) to what the purpose of desert storm really was. I find it more relevant now especially with the "desert fox" situation. It seems that americans are willing to blindly support this country's actions without question

lyrics

Blind at Birth
Blind today
Systems brain wash made us this way
They feed our minds
That this country is great
Tell us how to serve the state

Blind Faith, Blind Faith
Can't save your life

The system laws
You uphold
Another war
Begins to unfold

Life & limb
You risk it all
Off to war
For duty calls

Blind Faith, Blind Faith
Can't save your life

Another life, a casualty
You give your life
For your country

Democracy= hypocrisy
Is this what they call liberty?

blind Faith, Blind Faith
Can't save your life
